At Cosmic Candles, your satisfaction is paramount. We stand behind the quality of our hand-poured, celestial-inspired products. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase or if your product arrives damaged, please review our policy below for information on returns and refunds.
1. Eligibility for Returns & Refunds
We accept returns and offer refunds under the following conditions:
- Dissatisfaction: If you are not completely satisfied with your Cosmic Candles product for any reason.
- Damaged Product: If your product arrives damaged during shipping or is otherwise defective.
2. Return Window
- All returns must be initiated within 30 days of the original purchase date.
- Returns initiated outside of this 30-day window may not be accepted.
3. Condition of Returned Items
- Dissatisfaction Returns: Products returned due to dissatisfaction should be in their original condition, ideally unused, and in their original packaging. While we understand you may have tested the product, significant use or damage not related to a defect may affect your refund amount.
- Damaged Product Returns: For damaged or defective products, please retain all original packaging, as it may be required for shipping insurance claims.
4. How to Initiate a Return
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Email us at [email protected] within the 30-day return window.
- Provide Details: In your email, please include:
- Your order number.
- The item(s) you wish to return.
- The reason for the return (dissatisfaction or description of damage/defect).
- For Damaged Products: Please attach clear photographs of the damaged item(s) and the original packaging. This is crucial for us to process your claim effectively.
- Await Instructions: Our team will review your request and provide you with return shipping instructions, including the return address. Please do not send your item back until you have received these instructions.
5. Shipping Returns
- For Dissatisfaction Returns: The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping service as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item.
- For Damaged Product Returns: Cosmic Candles will cover the cost of return shipping for damaged or defective products. We will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label or reimbursement instructions.
6. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, within a certain number of business days (typically 5-10 business days).
- Shipping costs from the original order are non-refundable unless the return is due to a damaged or defective product.
7. Exchanges
We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange a product, please follow the return process for the original item and place a new order for the desired item.
8. Limitations and Exclusions
Cosmic Candles reserves the right to implement limits on returns or refunds as deemed reasonable, on a case-by-case basis. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Refusing a return if the item is not in its original condition, is significantly used, or is missing parts not due to our error.
- Limiting returns from customers with a history of excessive returns.
- Applying a restocking fee in certain circumstances (e.g., returns of large orders not due to defect).
- Returns may not be accepted if the item has been damaged due to improper candle care or misuse not in line with our recommended Candle Care Guide.
